Field trips/ excursions are integral part of our curriculum. Pupils’ learning is reinforced with first hand real life experiences. Places of visit are well thought out to fit the themes explored during the term. Over the years, our pupils have had the opportunity to visit places within the FCT and also outside the country. Places visited include the National Assembly, the International Airport, the Ice cream Place (Hatlab), the Fire Station, the National Park, South Africa e.t.c.
At Doveland, our goal is to produce socially responsible individuals, who will become responsible citizens. We do this by training them on how to give back to the society. We believe our pupils are not too young to give back to the society that is why we consciously create the awareness in them from an early age.
It is our culture to visit a minimum of two less privilege places in the community annually. Over the years, our pupils have visited several orphanages in the Federal Capital Territory, painted the hospital walk –ways and flower bed, and cleared street gutters.
As we grow, we are not relenting in our quest to give back to the society.
